(about)
A solo exhibition by British illustrator, architect, and cyclist Eliza Southwood, developed over a year of remote collaboration during COVID-19. Southwood took a virtual journey from England to Israel, traversing ten countries from her studio in London.

Non Voyage was a solo exhibition by Eliza Southwood - illustrator, architect, and keen cyclist - developed over the course of a year during the COVID-19 pandemic, when physical movement was constrained but the urge to travel was anything but.

Southwood, working from London, embarked on a virtual journey from England to Israel, traversing ten countries in her studio. The works that emerged are part travelogue, part architectural notebook, part meditation on what it means to make a journey when the journey itself is impossible. The exhibition design responded in kind, structuring the gallery as a series of passages and crossings rather than a single linear route.

The project began at the start of the pandemic and continued for twelve months of correspondence, sketches, and remote curatorial work. It was planned to travel to London for a second showing, but that leg was postponed due to circumstances.
